SAE Creative Media Institute (SAE) is thrilled to announce its industry partnership with MediaWorks, a leading New Zealand-based company specialising in radio, outdoor advertising, and interactive media. This strategic collaboration brings together two influential creative organisations that are dedicated to supporting and fostering the growth of the wider creative industries.
For students at SAE, this partnership signifies an exciting prospect as they gain direct access to the wealth of industry expertise and resources offered by MediaWorks. By joining forces, the collaboration aims to unlock doors to invaluable practical experiences and placements and potential career avenues, effectively bridging the gap between education and the professional world.
“It’s exciting to be connected with MediaWorks,” said SAE’s Industry Liaison and Career Advisor, Dave Johnston. “We’re looking forward to any opportunity where we can support each other’s organisations and the awesome work we both do.”
Since 1976, SAE has grown to become leaders in creative media education. There is now a global network of almost 50 SAE campuses worldwide across more than 20 countries, including the SAE Auckland campus based in Parnell. SAE Auckland, an NZQA Category 1 EER rated provider – the highest possible category rating for a tertiary institute – teaches Diplomas and Degrees in Audio Production, Music Production and Screen Production.
MediaWorks proudly serves as the home to an array of Aotearoa’s most beloved and highly regarded radio stations, including The Edge, Mai Fm, and The Rock, and many other stations that have become an integral part of New Zealand’s rich cultural tapestry.
This partnership marks a significant step in empowering the creative industries in New Zealand. Together, SAE Creative Media Institute and MediaWorks are poised to shape the future of the creative landscape, providing unparalleled opportunities and resources for SAE students.
