Levels of Study
SAE provides access to four different levels of study to suit every students' needs:
Certificate
SAE Certificate programs are ideal for younger students, audio hobbyists, musicians, DJs and teachers of music in secondary and tertiary education, including those who enjoy experimenting with technology as well as electronic music.
These programs are a foundation for further learning and are also delivered in flexible, part-time formats that allow for students who may be working or studying.
The Electronic Music Production Program is offered at SAE Auckland, New Zealand.
Diploma
The SAE Diploma programs have received industry and academic acclaim for over 25 years across the globe. These intensive programs are the foundation of every SAE qualification and offer high-level, hands-on practical training in combination with advanced theoretical study. This powerful combination provides our students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the competitive creative media industries as well as equipping graduates for further study to degree level.
The Diploma In Audio Engineering (Level 5) and the Diploma In Film Making (Level 5) programs are offered at SAE Auckland, New Zealand.
Bachelor Degree
The Bachelor of Recording Arts Degree provides a strong focus on technology, creativity and the development of academic, practical, creative and business skills.
This Degree represents the state-of-the-art in digital and creative media education.
Audio engineering students wishing to further their career goal may continue their degree level study with SAE Institute (Auckland,New Zealand). Students are able to complete the second and third years of the Bachelor of Recording Arts Degree program with SAE Institute (Auckland, New Zealand) on successful completion of their Diploma in Audio Engineering program.
The Bachelor of Recording Arts Degree is offered at SAE Auckland, New Zealand.
Master of Arts Degree*
Graduates of the Bachelors Degree have direct access to postgraduate studies through SAE International Graduate College (IGC). Admission to programs at this level is always competitive, but SAE graduates have privileged status in the process. The advanced professional practice and research Conferences are convened annually by the SAE IGC in different parts of the world thus providing postgraduate students with access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. SAE Auckland does not offer the Master of Arts In Creative Media Practice. The Masters Degree program is available to residents of New Zealand through distance learning only.
